"I can assume that the younger generations will no longer know what vinyl was. Maybe some kids will take their CD back to the shop, telling the shop owner they have a faulty disc and if they could please get a new one."

-Mike Rutherford.

Born on 2nd October 1950, Michael John Cleote Crawford Rutherford is an English musician. He is one of the founding members of the band Genesis. He started out as a bassist and backup vocalist but later he became the lead guitarist of the group.

Music has evolved as time has passed, especially in the 20th century. This period belongs to the modern contemporary composers and musicians who have brought in new waves in the world of music. There are innumerable genres of music today being created every now and then which are very difficult to categorize. With new technologies coming of age, new sounds seem to only get a boost. One of the examples of such improvement is software upgrades and releases which bring more advanced features and newer possibilities.

These new technologies enable the listener to enjoy even the old school genres. In the world of music, this can be explained through the case of vinyl's or LP records. These machines used to be the primary medium of reproduction and storage of music. The analog sound of the LPs has now been taken over by its digital counterpart. Even machines are available now which can even change the format of these records.

If anyone has old LP records which get played occasionally, then that individual can get them digitized with the help of a USB turntable. Every type of music can be recorded, burned or converted into a digital format by using this device. An USB turntable can record all your vinyl records in a digital format so that you can import them into your PC, MAC or any other storage device and preserve them.

Although, when it comes to making a decision in order to buy such products, the presence of vast number of brands and tech toys out there could really make it very confusing. Random marketing and promotional activities along with ads and offers only makes the decision making process more confusing. It is difficult to get information about these products on the net because all that are available are just plain features, specifications or reviews by audio experts and geeks.

Any music lover and audiophile love turntables. They really adore the sound which is considered to be the best sound a machine can create. A lot of them consider this analog sound to be more musically engaging, transient and accurate compared to a digital one.

Formats like the FLAC, WAV, APE, OGG, and MP3 cannot recreate the sounds which can be produced in an analog universe. There is no competition. But on the other hand, the USB turntable gives the user an option to preserve records and LPs which are very obscure and difficult to find in a proper digital format. By using this device a music lover can store his or her favorite tunes in various devices for many generation to come.
